To Offer New Services to Non-US Clients, Circle Expands to Bermuda

Major crypto payments firm Circle can launch a replacement subsidiary in Bermuda so as to serve non-American customers of its trading platform Poloniex.

In a journal post on July 22, Circle stated that it's acquired a full license to supply crypto-related services under Bermuda’s Digital Assets Business Act of 2018, a significant local restrictive framework for cryptocurrencies that was introduced in July 2018.

As a locality of the expansion to Bermuda, Circle plans to supply an array of latest crypto-related services, together with advanced trading products and new crypto asset listings, the firm said within the announcement. However, several of these new services won't be offered within the U.S., Circle emphasized, citing U.S. restrictive limitations.
