Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), Enterprise-Focused Ethereum Standards Consortium , to Form ‘Token Task Force’

The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), international blockchain community with over five hundred members, will launch a “token task force” in 2019, EEA confirmed to Top Market Group in correspondence on February. 13.

The executive director of the EEA, Ron Resnick, said that the task force continues to be at the design stage and is scheduled to launch within the first half of this year.

“We are making a token task force; we'll do this first half of this year,” Resnick expressed, adding:

“It’s going to be targeted on support for fungible ERC-20 and non-fungible, ERC-721 tokens.”

Resnick hopes that the new initiative can contribute to enterprise tokenization and build public confidence in crypto. Moreover, the group can reportedly focus on the issue of interoperability between totally different blockchains.

The EEA, as per its website, is an organization targeted on creating standards to assist enterprises to adopt Ethereum-based blockchain technology.

Today, Feb. 14, the EEA proclaimed that it's opening a new branch in China, as Top Market Group reported. Weijia Zhang, VP of engineering at blockchain interoperability startup Wanchain, has been appointed because of the new office’s director.

In Oct 2018, the EEA partnered with another major blockchain community, Hyperledger, the open-source blockchain platform from the Linux Foundation. the 2 consortiums joined every other’s organizations as “Associate Members” so as to support enterprise blockchain adoption.
