Crypto Tipping Option Expanded by Brave, Integration It Into Reddit And Vimeo

Blockchain-based web browser Brave has continued increasing its crypto tipping option by integration it into Reddit and Vimeo.

Announced on Twitter on Aug. 21, a brand new version of Brave Browser allows users to tip on ad-free video platform Vimeo and social news website Reddit, mistreatment Brave’s native Basic Attention Token (BAT).

BAT is up concerning 4.6% over the past 7 days at press time, trading at $0.192, per Coin360.

The tipping highlight on Reddit and Vimeo comes weeks once it had been first presented via web-based networking media system Twitter following a lucky administration preliminary on its testing program Brave Nightly.

Brave at the start introduced Reddit and Vimeo tipping as a part of the browser’s developer preview earlier this summer, per a post on Reddit published a month agone.

Brave’s initiative to introduce a tipping option on Reddit and Vimeo isn't the primary attempt to enable users of the platforms to tip for content.

In 2012, Vimeo revealed its Tip Jar include, enabling substance makers to get gifts from $1 to $500 with charge card or PayPal. However, the service was shut down in July 2015 as Vimeo centered on another tool for content monetization known as VimeoOn Demand.

In 2013, Reddit initiated a content tipping choice in Bitcoin through the bitcointip bot. The service was terminated before another Bitcoin tipping choice referred to as Changetip went live in 2014. However, Changetip was conjointly shut down in 2017 once recording 100,000 sign ups and over 350,000 tips.
