Blockgram is searching for a Program Manager for one of our largest clients in Mountain View, California.  Are you a talented program manager with experience in complex customer-facing projects? Key Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with customers and internal teams, you will lead the successful implementation of our professional services projects, for our clients

  • Being the accountable point person for project scope, schedule, delivery and project communications

  • Develop and maintain project plans including activities, deliverables and milestone due dates

  • Coordinate and manage team resource allocation to facilitate optimal implementation timelines

  • Perform regular risk assessments on projects and proactively plan strategies to minimize and mitigate risk

  • Provide regular reports to all internal and client stakeholders on project status

  • Resolve of issues and risks associated with the project

  • Deliver of project documentation and management of documentation repositories

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing with client

  • Define and measure project performance indicators and take appropriate corrective action when needed

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement and learning

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project/program management in a professional software development organization, using Agile methodology

  • Solid real-world knowledge and experience in project management approaches and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques

  • Be good at managing and motivating people

  • Be good at influencing stakeholders

  • Ability to manage cross-functional and cross-site projects, ideally with an understanding of cultural differences in international projects

  • Enough technical expertise so you can speak the same language as our development teams and technology experts

  • Exceptional time/priority management and organizational skills

  • Quick self-motivated learner

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to deal with ambiguity and conflicting inputs by various stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and quality orientation

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with requirements / task management systems such as Redmine, JIRA

  • Product management or requirements management expertise

  • Understanding of User Experience Design, with experience in working with UX teams

  • Experience in interacting with corporate customers

  • Expertise related to cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)

  • Expertise in web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS

  • Expertise in mobile platforms and technologies (iOS, Android, Windows)

  • Experience in guiding app development projects across iOS and Android

  • Availability for occasional travel to customer meetings (mostly the US, up to 20% of the time)

  • Experience or education related to software development

  • Science degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience

This role requires the candidate to work from the Mountain View, California office and is either available on a contractor or full-time basis.
